Marian earned her CGA designation through UBC evening programs, while working full time. She started her career at a local family company that became successful employing more than 100 in the manufacturing sector. After 12 years on the North Shore, the company moved the plant to Saskatchewan. As VP Finance & HR, Marian recruited and replaced the entire administrative team (including herself) and moved back to Vancouver.
Marian’s early career in Law began as Administrator and HR to help create a new boutique employment firm. After a number of years, it is now the largest in Western Canada. Marian then moved on in the same role to one of the largest tax firms in the country. She also worked for a short time as Administrator & HR, assisting another firm in Vancouver that was going through a merger.
Marian joined Jeffery & Calder 15 years ago as Accountant and after our Administrator retired; she jumped in and took on that role as well.
Now, her dream vacation is any river cruise that includes Italy and France. She loves food!
