Gregory Calder

Since being called to the Bar, Greg Calder has practised exclusively in the area of civil litigation, initially acting for the insurer. Since 1986 he has acted only for the injured and has represented people from all walks of life from all over British Columbia and other parts of the world. He has handled claims involving brain injury, death, amputations, paralysis, fractures and soft tissue injuries arising from a wide variety of circumstances such as swimming pool accidents, car crashes, falling objects, assaults, professional negligence, skiing accidents, slips and falls and injuries that have occurred as a result of faulty products. During his many years of practice, Mr. Calder has gained extensive experience in mediations and trials (jury and judge alone) throughout the Province. He has a busy practice based on referrals from medical professionals, lawyers and existing and past clients.

Larry Kancs

During his 29 years as a trial lawyer, Larry Kancs has acted in both criminal and civil litigation matters. Since 1987 he has focused on representing clients who have suffered injuries and losses in car accidents, assaults, slips and falls, faulty products and fires. He has represented clients from many ethnic backgrounds with a wide variety of claims including brain injury, death, fractures, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, depression and soft tissue injuries of all varieties. He has lectured at educational seminars for the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and has served on the Executive for that association since 1997.

David McGivern

David McGivern has 22 years experience in personal injury law - originally as a lawyer for ICBC - he now acts solely for injured parties. He has represented clients with brain injuries, fractures and "soft tissue" damage as well as those with "invisible injuries" such as whiplash, fibromyalgia, depression and chronic pain. He has tried cases before a judge alone as well as before a judge with jury. He has written and lectured for both the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.

Jeffery & Calder also employs the services of four legal assistants resulting in a more effective, efficient and economical use of legal resources and a support staff of fourteen full-time and part-time employees, to provide the highest levels of quality and service.

The firm has extensive experience with trials (both jury and judge alone) and out-of-court settlement negotiations, including mediations and appeals, and has, over the years developed a reputation as being tough but fair.
